Dr. Michael R. Pinsky is a Professor of Critical Care Medicine, Bioengineering, Cardiovascular Diseases, Clinical & Translational Science and Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine. And is also Docteur Honoris Casusa at the Universite Rene Descartes Paris V, School of Medicine in Paris, France. Dr. Pinsky received his M.D. from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
Dr. Pinsky is currently also a Medical Attending at the University of Pittsburgh, Medical Center and at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is presently the President of the University of Pittsburgh Senate, and program director for the Department of Critical Care Medicine's adult NRSA training program.
Previously, Dr. Michael Pinsky was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh. He was also a Visiting Professor in the Department of Intensive Care at both Erasme University Hospital, Free University of Brussels in Brussels, Belgium and Service Reanimination, Hospital Cochin-Port Royal, Paris. He is an Instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and a Member of the UPMC-Presbyterian Medical Ethics Committee and is also a member of Winter Institute for Simulator Education and Research (WISER), the Promotions and Tenure Committee-Department of Critical Care Medicine, the Scientific Affairs Committee, External Advisory Board-School of Nursing all within the University of Pittsburgh.
