Harry C. Blair, M.D.
Dr. Harry Blair is a professor and acting medical director of the University of Pittsburgh Pathology Department, Section of Laboratory Medicine.   He has a secondary academic appointment in Physiology & Cell Biology.

Dr. Blair received his medical degree in 1980 from Washington University in St. Louis.  He then completed his residency at the University of Miami, where he was the chief resident from 1983-1984. Dr. Blair next entered a postdoctoral fellowship program at the Washington University School of Medicine.  He also served as an assistant professor there for several years. After an additional period as an associate professor and clinical director of the Metabolic Bone Diagnostic Center at the University of Alabama (Birmingham), Dr. Blair joined the Pitt faculty in 2000.  

A former Phi Beta Kappa member, Dr. Blair was also a University Scholar at Washington University and completed a visiting scholar program at Wolfson College, Oxford University in 2003.  He is a member of the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, the American Physical Society, and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
