Neural Engineering Related
Work:
Development of probabilistic models for spiking of neurons as a
function of covariates of interest, and associated decoding problems.
Research Description:
His research interests lie in the area of dynamical systems analysis.
In particular, he is interested in (1) analysis of nonlinear
and non-Gaussian systems and (2) developing effective numerical
methods (mostly Bayesian) for this analysis. He has also explored
general techniques for improving and "parallelizing" Markov
chain Monte Carlo simulation. His work is in part motivated by
applications in finance and neuroscience.
