Graduate / Pre-Doctoral Student Opportunities

Are you interested in a University of Pittsburgh graduate program with Dr. Badylak as your Primary Mentor/Thesis Advisor? Dr. Badylak typically takes 1-2 new students each year. Dr. Badylak’s graduate students have historically entered the laboratory through:

  • a PhD program in the Department of Bioengineering;
  • a PhD program in the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (IBGP) under the Cellular Molecular Pathology track (CMP); or
  • a dual MD/PhD program in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP).

Laboratory Research Rotation Opportunities

Have you been accepted into a University of Pittsburgh graduate program requiring a laboratory research rotation? Dr. Badylak hosts graduate students from the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (IBGP) in the Cellular and Molecular Pathology track (CMP), the Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP), and the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). Rotations follow individual program curriculum; typical duration is 3 months.
